Totally Addicted

I’m such a sucker…I had basically stopped reading fanfiction, for a couple of months, which is like a freaking world record for me!  I started reading actual printed books (GASP!) and even a couple on my Kindle Fire.  But because something about fanfiction  just CALLS to me, I found myself online checking out some new stuff.

I found a couple of completed one-shots by the amazing SydneyAlice but mostly mediocre stuff not worth the investment of my time, which is why I took a break in the first place.  Then I stumbled across My Mate by PrincessRachael.  Why, why, why did this story have to be so good?!  It’s a work in progress and it looks like she updates on a decent schedule but it’s early in the game- she’s only 8 chapters in…that could change and she could have me waiting a thousand years like jadalulu!

(Am I the only one that wants to chain jada to a chair to crank out chapters of Fold Your Wings every week?!  No update since December and then she gives us that teaser…so cruel, so very cruel!).

Anyway…the story is a Twilight fanfic (surprise) and Edward is a vampire and so is Bella. Of course given the title we know they are going to end up mates but what I like about this story is how they mate…pretty sensual as much as latching on and exchanging body fluids can be sensual.  Also some killer literary quoting…

Again, story is in the early stages and they’ve already mated and are beginning the get-to-know-you process, I’m interested in seeing where she takes this.  I don’t have this one on alert because I just like the idea of randomly looking up the story and being pleasantly surprise that she updated.
